Founded in 2010 by Erik Andersson and Frida Kempff, Läsk is a production company based in Malmö, Sweden. Our vision is to be a force for innovation in cinema, creating stories that transcend the commonplace and forge connections across generational and geographic differences. We bring to light the stories of those less heard and pursue festival recognition to broaden our impact and catalyze progress. We aim to empower storytellers, captivate a global audience, and establish ourselves as a hub of groundbreaking narratives. We're crafting a tomorrow where our films are frontrunners of influence and inspiration.
Since the short Bathing Micky was awarded Prix du Jury at the Cannes Film Festival in 2010, Läsk has produced and co-produced several features, including the 2024 TIFF Centerpiece selection The Swedish Torpedo, 2021 Sundance breakout Knocking and Dogborn, which premiered at the Venice Critic’s week in 2022.
